New CEO to take Mandata onwards and upwards
Cramlington-based road transport software provider has appointed a new Chief Executive Officer to lead the next stage of its development.
Mandata, a leading provider of integrated software designed to help organisations manage their road transport operations, will welcome well-known north east businessman Chris Rigg in November 2019.
Taking over from current CEO Mark Norcliffe, who is set to retire next month, Chris will bring extensive experience from multiple business sectors, having worked with a successful business start-up in the energy sector, substantially grown the privately owned Northern Recruitment Group Ltd and most recently having led the development of Quantum Pharma PLC, prior to its sale to Clinigen PLC.
Neil England, Chair of the Mandata Board, said: “I’m delighted to announce Chris will become the new CEO for Mandata. He has a proven track record of success and brings the expertise, experience and values to lead Mandata on the next stage of its journey.
“On behalf of everyone at Mandata, I wish to thank Mark for his hard work and dedication over the last 6 years. Under his leadership we have developed a market leading product offer and have a strongly growing business.”
Commenting on his appointment, Chris said: “I am delighted to be joining Mandata. We operate in a world where the adoption of technology and software solutions are critical to the success of businesses. Mandata is well positioned to support the increasing needs and challenges faced by the logistics industry. I am very excited about the prospects for the business and am looking forward to being part of the next phase of its development.”
Retiring CEO Mark Norcliffe said: “I’m immensely proud of what the company has achieved over the last 6 years. Mandata has changed dramatically in that time and its future looks incredibly exciting. The company has an extremely capable management team and I’m looking forward to seeing the company go from strength to strength.”
Mandata’s mission critical systems, TMS and TMS Go! already help many businesses in the road haulage and logistics sectors manage operations more effectively ‘from orders to invoice’ using a range of integrated software and mobile applications.
